Kurdish withdrawal in full swing: Democratic Syrian forces, a coalition of fighters led by Kurdish militias in northeastern Syria, announced last night that its people had completely withdrawn from strategic town Ras Al Ain. This is part of the ceasefire agreement with Turkey, which the US has brokered, according to which the Kurds should withdraw from the border area by tomorrow evening. Ras Al-Ain was one of the main focal points of the “Spring of Peace” campaign launched by Ankara, with the aim of creating a border security zone 30 kilometers deep in Syria’s territory. And hopes to house millions of Syrian refugees who have fled to its territory. Ahead of the deadline tomorrow evening, when the ceasefire agreement expires with Turkey, the Kurds have withdrawn from strategic town Ras Al-Ain. “There is no one left, it is over,” declared their commander. Residents fear the future: “They will not distinguish between fighters and civilians, those who are Kurds will kill him”
